In the first part:
We will explore why we get sick and how to be well. We will also discuss the metaphors of the body and how they can help us to understand the underlying issues of our discomfort.

After the break:
We will learn to dialogue with our bodies so we can hear what it needs. We will also explore personal energy and how it relates to our healing.

Reiki (Ray-kee) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki increases the flow of “life force energy”.

Anyone may learn Reiki. There are no prerequisites.

Participants will receive double attunements, one from each instructor.

This weekend intensive is a combination of lecture, discussion and hands on practice taught according to the guidelines of the International Center for Reiki Training. A detailed class manual is provided.

There will be an hour lunch break each day.

Classes may be taken together or separately.
